Information We Collect

Like most internet properties, the Visual Codec website automatically tracks certain general information about our visitors to help us continually improve our publication. We collect each visitor's IP address (a number automatically assigned to the computer whenever you surf the web) and use that number to monitor customer traffic patterns, general site usage, as well as the popularity of individual content pages.

On occasion our website may request personal information when using certain features, including but not limited to: signing up for our email list, completing surveys, submitting "quotables", and submitting visual arts show information. Participation is these areas of the website is entirely voluntary and the features in question will explain how the content is to be used. Note that information submitted directly by you either via the website or in email for publication in Visual Codec (such as a "quotable") automatically grants us permission to use that information in our publication without restriction. If you feel that your personal information and/or content has been submitted in an unauthorized manner, please contact us directly at general@visualcodec.com.com to resolve the situation.

Visual Codec will never sell, trade, rent or release our e-mail lists to any interested third parties. Our email lists exist exclusively for use in conjunction with the Visual Codec publication and its activities. We manage our email and website hosting via Pair Networks. You may also want to review Pair Networks' privacy and anti-spam policies as they pertains to information maintained by their system.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our content management system uses cookies from time to time for generic tracking purposes depending on what features of the website are enabled and/or being used. However, you can use most of the features on our website without having cookies activated in your browser. The cookies our website uses do not contain any personally identifying information.
