Visual Codec Contributor Bios
m. ++
Founding Editor
Visual Codec's Founding Editor was raised in the woods just outside of Portland, has called Seattle home for some eight years now, and has an ongoing fascination with Vancouver BC. Visual Codec is her way of providing, along with fellow regional intelligentsia, a means to decode the physical and metaphorical roots that make this particular run of the Pacific Coast deeply unique. To submit editorial inquiries and comments, email m. at: editor@visualcodec.com.
Carrie E.A. Scott ++
Associate Editor
Carrie Elizabeth Anne Scott comes to Seattle by way of England and Manhattan. Her writing credits to date include Conde Nast Traveler Online (as an associate editor in Manhattan), The Stranger, and several smaller journals and catalogues. She is also the Curator of Visual Arts at the Lee Center for the Arts in Seattle. Carrie spends her free time rewiring art theory and, not unlike Courtney Love, has been accused of moving to this region because she knows something is going on here. Carrie can be contacted via email at: ceas79@hotmail.com.
Lindsay Latimore ++
Copy Editor
Ms. Latimore is a writer/editor with a long and successful history in online publications and a keen interest in the visual arts. Visual Codec is lucky to have her on board not only because she is a keyboarding superstar, but also because she has an amazing shoe collection. Lindsay and her shoes can be reached at: lindsay@lflcommunications.com.
Chris Crites ++
Listings Editor
Mr. Crites is an independent artist, curator, and designer. His portraits of recreated mug shots and other work in acrylic on paper bags have been shown in Seattle, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and Houston. A sampling of his work can be viewed at www.bagpainter.com.
Alice Wheeler ++
Cover Photography
For more than two decades Alice Wheeler has been a notable contributor to the Seattle visual arts scene and, in our opinion, modern photography at large. Her documentary work has appeared in national heavy-hitters such as Life, Rolling Stone, and Newsweek, while her continuing work in the fine arts is managed locally by one of Seattle's tier-one venues, the Greg Kucera Gallery. Whether she's capturing drag queens, political rallies, rock stars, or landscapes, Alice's highly trained eye cuts straight to the chase in every frame. You can see more of Alice's work at www.alicewheeler.com and www.gregkucera.com.

Regina Hackett ++
